Near the end of Jesus’ ministry on earth, He told His disciples that the time was coming when He would not be with them. He said, "And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Counselor to be with you forever—the Spirit of truth" (John 14:16–17). Jesus was speaking of the Holy Spirit.
